Jennifer Barnes is the CEO of Optima Office, an outsourced accounting, and human resources firm with over 70 employees. Optima also provides fractional CFO’s and COO’s to companies in every single industry.
Jennifer obtained a Finance and Marketing degree from the University of Arizona and an MBA from San Diego State University. She also completed the Becker CPA courses and received the advanced communicator certificate for Toastmasters.
Between 2016-2018, her first company was the 5th fastest growing company in San Diego County, earned a spot in the Inc 5000 three years in a row and was awarded by the UT and San Diego Business Journal for being a best place to work. Since the firms’ inception in 2018, Optima has received numerous awards, including best place to work, and had revenues of 4.7 million their 2nd full year in business. Jennifer was awarded the top 40 under 40, Young Entrepreneur of the year by the Chamber of Commerce, was a semi-finalist for EY’s Entrepreneur of the year and earned the title of being the Most Influential Female Leader by the Connected Women of Influence.
Jennifer currently sits on the board of Junior Achievement, The Better Business Bureau and a publicly traded company, Presidio Property Trust. She volunteers time for numerous student mentor programs and is a member of Rotary 33, Tech Coast Angels, NAWBO, CWI, WBENC, Vistage, ACG, Entrepreneurs Organization, Young Executives Council and Social Venture Partners
