Jennifer is one of the founders of New Leaf Biofuel, LLC, a biodiesel refinery operating in San Diego. As the President and CEO, Jennifer oversees all department heads and is responsible for permitting and licensing, business development, feedstock procurement and biodiesel sales. In October of 2014, Jennifer and her husband/business partner Tyler sold a majority share of New Leaf to a strategic partner, providing a profitable exit for their other co-founders. Jennifer was recently elected as the first female board member of the National Biodiesel Board and serves as Chair of the Political Action Committee. Jennifer is recognized by her peers as a leader and spokesperson for community sized biodiesel plants across the country, and has testified on their behalf in the US House of Representatives’ Energy and Commerce Committee and the Environmental Protection Agency. Jennifer serves as the Vice President of the California Biodiesel Alliance, and sits on two local boards, the San Diego Regional Clean Cities Coalition, and the California Restaurant Association.

Prior to founding New Leaf, Jennifer worked as a litigation attorney for 5 years, most recently at Weston Benshoof (now Alston & Bird) in Los Angeles.
